Description

SUMMARY

Assists the service and delivery team by delivering customer orders and performing warehouse transfers using straight trucks and vans.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must possess a valid CDL Class B driver’s license with a clean driving record and a Hazardous Materials and Tanker endorsements: for vehicles greater than 26,000 lbs. GVW – hauling greater than 1001 lbs. of hazardous materials.

DOT Hazmat General Awareness Training Certificate (company will assist with training if needed).

Forklift certification. (company will assist with certification training if needed).

Job Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Deliver customer orders, using company provide vehicles, as assigned, in accordance with customer and company requirements within the metro area.
  • Perform warehouse transfers between company warehouses in Dakota County.
  • Load and unload trucks as assigned.
  • Verify the contents of inbound loads and transfers against shipping papers.
  • Responsible for keeping vehicles in good, legal, and safe operating condition.
  • Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.
  • Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
  • Maintain records such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, bills of lading, or billing statements in accordance with regulations.
  • Ability to display excellent communication with bulk team members.
  • Continue to develop relationships with all levels of staff at customer locations and always provide excellent customer service.
  • Other duties as assigned by Service and Delivery Manager.
